Fish City Grill Wins the Good Neighbor Award
At the Scholarship Dinner of the Greater Dallas Restaurant Association on April 30, Fish City Grill was humbled to be recognized with the Restaurant Neighbor Award for Community Service. Announced in February, this award was presented to two Texas brands to honor their charitable support and dedication to improving their local communities.
“These restaurants are prime examples of the generosity and philanthropy Texas restaurants exhibit every day of the year in their communities,” said Richie Jackson, CEO of the Texas Restaurant Association. “The Restaurant Neighbor Award is a great way to shine the spotlight on and honor the many things restaurateurs do each day to make our communities better places to live and work.”
Fish City Grill’s First Tuesday program was launched after September 11, 2001, when we looked for ways to have an impact on organizations in need in our own backyard. On the first Tuesday of each month, many of our stores highlight a different local charity, and then a portion of the day’s sales are directly donated to the charity. In 13 years the program has donated more than $475,000 to various local organizations across Texas and nationally.
